Golf… the hardest game we love to play.
This is the podcast of three nerdy golfers.
Our continuing mission: explore strange new swing techniques, to seek out lower handicaps and awesome golf courses, and to boldly swing where a safe layup would have been the smarter choice!
Drive, chip, and putt... then putt again... and again. Then, if things are really bad, chip again, pick up the ball, and move on.
I got bit by the golf bug back in high school, and my baseball background gave me a love for the long ball.
However, the flat stick (usually) doesn’t disappoint me either.
Outside of golf, I’m also a fan of video games (both retro and modern), music, fantasy, sci-fi, Adam Sandler movies, and good food.
I have been golfing for most of my life. I have never really been any good. I can say in all honesty that I truly love the game. It just doesn’t seem to love me back. I have no aspirations of going pro, or shooting scratch, or winning my club championship. It would just be nice, after all these years, to not suck so badly! I am, therefor, teaming up with my two best friends to try something new. Together, we are going to wage war on terrible golf. We are going to pull out all the stops to try and chase the lofty title of “average golfer,” and we’re going to record the journey… for the record.
I got started in golf about 4 years ago after JP and Cody went on a romantic golf trip (complete with dinner boat) to pebble beach. I'm mostly here to witness my friends' moments of brilliance (and their epic meltdowns). I love the outdoor aspect of golf and, more importantly, the good times it brings with friends. By day, I'm a professional software engineer; by the weekend, I'm just trying to keep my golf ball on the fairway.

A golf tradition with a twist. None of us drink alcohol so we usually opt for a root beer. To keep the rankings as fair as possible, we've separated our rankings between regular and diet bevs.
You might hear us refer to how many gummy coke bottles a drink is worth. This isn't a ranking on score, but a reference to the sugar content in a 1 oz shot of root beer, and unconventional way to count carbs for our diabetic friend.
We're completely open to suggestions too, so if you know of a root beer we HAVE to try, please send us a message.
